About the Role

The AI Adoption, Content, and Community Manager for Government Engagement & Enablement is a critical role at OpenAI, responsible for helping government clients adopt and effectively use AI solutions. This involves developing and delivering training programs, creating educational content, and building a community of practice among government professionals. The role sits at the intersection of enablement, education, community, communications, and marketing, and requires a unique blend of technical, business, and interpersonal skills.

As a key member of the OpenAI for Government team, the successful candidate will work closely with government clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions to address them. This will involve designing and delivering hands-on training sessions, developing lightweight and scalable learning experiences, and creating operational cadences to gather customer feedback and provide insights to the product team.

The role is based in Washington, DC, but will involve working remotely with government clients and colleagues across the US and internationally.

What You Will Do

  • Design and deliver training and enablement programs for government clients, including hands-on training sessions and lightweight, scalable learning experiences
  • Develop and refine customer-facing content, including training materials, messaging, and operational cadences
  • Build and steward a community of practice among government professionals, including designing and growing communities of practice, creating delightful experiences and engagements, and acting as a trusted presence for government users
  • Serve as an in-house expert on creating great customer and employee communications campaigns to drive ChatGPT confidence and use
  • Capture and refine trainings and enablement sessions with customers, and work with teams to identify areas for improvement
  • Continuously refine and improve the customer experience, based on feedback, usage patterns, and evolving customer needs
  • Create initiatives that make government clients glad to be customers, and help them see what's possible with AI
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government clients, product teams, and other external partners
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI technology and its applications in the government sector, and apply this knowledge to improve the customer experience

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a related field, such as AI adoption, content creation, community building, or marketing
  • Deep understanding of AI technology and its applications in the government sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with government clients and colleagues
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to design and deliver complex projects on time and to budget
  • Experience with digital communication and community building tools, such as ChatGPT, Slack, and LinkedIn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, with a strong focus on self-motivation and discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insights to inform business decisions
  • Experience with content creation, including writing, editing, and design

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in the government sector, or with government clients
  • Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI practices
  • Experience with event planning and management, including designing and delivering workshops and conferences
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and lean startup principles
  • Certification in a related field, such as AI, marketing, or project management
