AI Deployment Engineer- Media Partnerships

About the Role

Your holistic view of customer needs will enable you to design an enterprise architecture using OpenAI API and other services, maximizing customer value. This role is based in New York City, with relocation support available for new employees.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with global news organizations to implement AI technology that benefits their businesses, spanning newsroom implementations and use cases that enhance customer service, internal operations, marketing, audience development, and sales.
• Embed with platform customers as their technical thought partner, ideating and building novel applications on the OpenAI API.
• Provide proactive guidance to customers on maximizing business impact from their applications, accelerating their time to value.
• Experiment and prototype solutions with and for customers.
• Forge and manage relationships with customer leadership and stakeholders to ensure successful application deployment and scale.
• Contribute to open-source developer and enterprise resources.
• Scale the Solutions Architect function by sharing knowledge, codifying best practices, and publishing notebooks to internal and external repositories.
• Deliver high-signal feedback to Product, Engineering, and Research teams.
• Utilize expertise in programming with Python and JavaScript to drive project success.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of technical consulting (or equivalent) experience.
• Deep understanding of news organizations' business models, operating models, and their relationships with readers and customers.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
• Experience in building and delivering prototypes on top of the OpenAI API platform.
• Proven track record of leading complex technical projects and programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to proactively identify opportunities for maximizing customers' business value through the OpenAI API.
• Ownership of problems end-to-end, with a willingness to acquire missing knowledge to ensure team and customer success.
• Humble attitude and eagerness to help others with empathy.
• High horsepower, adept at frequent context switching, and ability to work on multiple projects with expansive ownership.

• Experience working with media organizations or in the digital media industry.
• Knowledge of current trends and developments in AI and machine learning.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
