AI Deployment Engineering Manager, Digital Natives

About the Role

The role involves managing the entire implementation journey, from initial consultation to seamless platform integration, ensuring that technical teams deliver a consistent and exceptional experience throughout the customer lifecycle. Success in this position will be measured by the number of live production applications, increased API adoption, and impactful customer stories that demonstrate the value of Openai's technology.

What You Will Do

• Own the strategy and operating model of the AI Deployment Engineering team, aligning with company objectives and evolving customer needs.
• Lead, build, and mentor a team of high-performing AI Deployment Engineers to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
• Serve as the technical advocate for customers, synthesizing their needs to develop Research and Applied Product/Engineering roadmaps.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point during development, fostering trust and maintaining direct communication with executive-level stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective deployment of AI solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring the delivery of tailored AI solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI technology, applying this knowledge to enhance the team's capabilities and customer outcomes.
• Champion the safe and innovative application of AI technology across various sectors, serving as an industry thought leader.
• Participate in the development of best practices and standards for AI deployment, contributing to the growth of the field.
• Manage and mitigate technical risks associated with AI deployment, ensuring the security and integrity of customer data.

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role, with a focus on managing C-level technical and business relationships with complex global organizations.
• 2+ years of experience leading technical post-sales teams, with a demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and manage technical teams.
• Experience in leading complex implementations of Generative AI or traditional ML solutions, with knowledge of network/cloud architecture.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Effective and polished communication skills, with the ability to translate business and technical topics to all audiences.
• A humble attitude, an eagerness to help others, and a desire to acquire knowledge to make both the team and customers succeed.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the capability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
