About the Role

The AI Deployment Manager role at Openai is a pivotal position focused on delivering high-impact enablement and adoption services across Openai's product suite. This involves designing and delivering enablement experiences that support a repeatable adoption framework, driving sustained activation, and expanding the breadth and depth of usage. The successful candidate will blend strong product fluency, instructional design, and customer advisory skills to help customers understand and effectively apply Openai's products in real-world workflows.

The role is part of the AI Deployment Management (ADM) team, which partners with enterprises to translate the potential of Openai's technology into durable capabilities. This is achieved through structured training, technical enablement, and services, aiming to help customers move from experimentation to production and thereby accelerate time-to-value, deepen product adoption, and make Openai indispensable to how organizations work.

What You Will Do

  • Own the enablement of Openai products, including ChatGPT Enterprise and Agents, defining effective enablement patterns that support adoption across business and technical teams.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated product areas, building deep expertise and supporting internal enablement.
  • Lead customer enablement across the full customer lifecycle, from initial onboarding through expansion, optimization, and long-term adoption.
  • Design and deliver high-impact engagements, including onboarding sessions, advanced capability trainings, executive briefings, hackathons, and hands-on workshops.
  • Drive customer activation, sustained usage, and measurable business value through structured enablement programs.
  • Partner closely with Sales, AI Success Engineers, Solutions Engineering, and Product teams to ensure a seamless handoff from pre- to post-sale and a consistent customer experience.
  • Develop scalable enablement assets, playbooks, and best practices based on patterns observed across customers.
  • Gather customer feedback from training and enablement engagements, synthesizing themes and relaying insights to internal stakeholders to inform product and program improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify emerging customer use cases for new product surfaces and to aggregate customer feedback to inform product development.

What We Are Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in customer-facing, enablement, or instructional roles, engaging C-level, business, and technical audiences in complex enterprise environments.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, particularly when translating AI capabilities into clear, practical value for senior and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong product fluency, with the ability to understand and communicate the value and capabilities of Openai's products.
  • Experience in instructional design, with a focus on creating engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Ability to drive customer confidence, increasing product adoption, and supporting successful launches of new product capabilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform product and service improvements.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team, ensuring a consistent and high-quality customer experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI technology, particularly in areas such as natural language processing or machine learning.
  • Knowledge of enterprise software adoption and enablement best practices.
  • Certification in instructional design or a related field.
  • Experience working with global teams and customers, with a strong understanding of cultural and regional differences.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems.

Benefits and Perks

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technology and contribute to its development and adoption.
  • Collaborative and dynamic work environment with a team of experienced professionals.
  • Flexible working hours and remote work options, with a hybrid model of 3 days in the office per week.
  • Professional development opportunities, including training and conference sponsorships.
  • Access to the latest tools and technologies to support your work.
  • Relocation assistance for candidates moving to London.
  • Comprehensive health insurance and wellness programs.
  • Generous PTO and holiday package, recognizing the importance of work-life balance.

How to Stand Out

  • Tip: Showcase your experience in customer-facing roles, highlighting instances where you've successfully driven product adoption and customer confidence.
  • To stand out, demonstrate a deep understanding of AI technology and its applications, as well as your ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prepare to discuss specific examples of enablement programs you've designed and delivered, focusing on the impact and business value they've generated.
  • When discussing your experience, emphasize your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and product development.
  • Ensure your portfolio or resume includes examples of scalable enablement assets, playbooks, or best practices you've developed, as these will be key discussion points in the application process.
