AI Engineer I

What You Will Do

• Contribute to the development of platforms and systems that power Sezzle's AI-driven capabilities
• Build AI-powered features to enhance customer experience and improve decision-making
• Develop intelligent automation and agentive systems to streamline operational workflows
• Embed AI solutions into customer-facing products, internal tools, and operational workflows
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven impact
• Design and implement AI-powered systems to automate complex workflows
• Work closely with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI solutions with data analytics and insights
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for AI-powered systems and features
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, applying this knowledge to improve Sezzle's AI-driven capabilities

What We Are Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in AI engineering or a related field
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, with the ability to apply this knowledge to solve complex problems
• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Strong understanding of software development principles and practices, including testing, debugging, and version control
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git

Nice to Have

• Experience with natural language processing or computer vision
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Jenkins
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices, with the ability to apply these to AI-powered systems
