About the Role
Sarj.ai is revolutionizing the way we interact with voice communications, and we're looking for an AI Research Engineer to join our team. As a key player in our research and development efforts, you will be responsible for training and deploying speech models that power our platform. You will work closely with our product and engineering teams to develop and implement AI-powered features that enhance user experience.The role entails working with large-scale speech models, including speech-to-text and text-to-speech systems. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining machine learning training pipelines, as well as evaluating and improving model performance. Our team is passionate about innovation and collaboration, and we're looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI.
What You Will Do
- Train and deploy large-scale speech models using Python and PyTorch
- Develop and maintain machine learning training pipelines for real-time voice processing
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop and implement AI-powered features
- Evaluate and improve model performance using various metrics and techniques
- Work with modern speech architectures and push them to production
- Develop evaluation frameworks to assess model performance and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-powered features into our platform
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and machine learning
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience working with machine learning in production
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with PyTorch or PyTorch Lightning
- Understanding of deep learning fundamentals, including convolutional and recurrent neural networks
- Experience with speech or audio machine learning is a strong plus
- Experience with large-scale or distributed training is desirable
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, including Vertex AI, Cloud Run, and BigQuery
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience with agile development methodologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with natural language processing or computer vision
- Familiarity with other machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow or scikit-learn
- Experience with cloud-based machine learning platforms, such as AWS SageMaker or Azure Machine Learning
- Knowledge of containerization using Docker
