About the Role
The AI Sales Engineer role at Arize AI is a critical position that combines technical expertise with sales acumen to drive business growth. As a trusted advisor to customers, the successful candidate will work closely with prospective clients to understand their AI and machine learning needs, develop compelling value propositions, and deliver product demonstrations that showcase the Arize platform's capabilities. What You Will Do
- Partner with account executives to articulate the Arize value proposition and overall strategy to customers
- Develop and deliver product demonstrations to prospective clients
- Collaborate with customers to understand their AI and machine learning needs and develop compelling value propositions
- Lead proof of concept (POC) motions with prospective buyers
- Handle technical objections and develop strategies to unblock them
- Work closely with the sales, engineering, and product teams to drive sales growth and customer success
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Arize platform and its capabilities
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in AI and machine learning
- Travel to customer sites and industry events as required (up to 20%)
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, such as sales engineer, solutions engineer, or forward-deployed engineer
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
- Knowledge of LLM/agentic frameworks, such as OpenAI Agents SDK, Google ADK, LangGraph, and DSPy
- Understanding of GenAI concepts and application evaluation + development lifecycle
- Quick and self-motivated learner, with a strong ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and trends
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working across and aligning sales, product, and engineering teams
- Previous experience within a team that underwent high growth stage
- Engineering experience in data engineering, MLOps, Kubernetes, GCP/AWS/Azure
- Experience working with AI and machine learning technologies, such as natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics
