About the Role
The AI Tooling & Enablement Manager role is a unique opportunity to join OpenAI's marketing organization and shape the future of AI-powered marketing. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with marketers to identify areas where AI can amplify the craft and effectiveness of their work. Your primary focus will be on developing AI-native products and workflows that can be used by marketing teams to improve their daily operations.The marketing organization at OpenAI is a dynamic and innovative team that is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible with AI. As an AI Tooling & Enablement Manager, you will be responsible for designing and deploying workflows that combine agents, tools, and human review to create seamless and efficient marketing processes.
The role is based in San Francisco, but OpenAI offers a remote work option, allowing you to work from anywhere in the world. What You Will Do
- Identify opportunities where AI can improve repeatable marketing tasks, improving the quality, speed, scale, and effectiveness of marketing.
- Scope ambiguous problems, prioritize opportunities, and drive execution from prototype to production.
- Design and deploy workflows that combine agents, tools, and human review in production environments.
- Rapidly prototype and ship using automation platforms, our API platform, and Codex.
- Build and maintain a small set of centrally managed workflows that support critical marketing programs.
- Develop reusable templates, tooling, and documentation that allow teams to safely self-serve over time.
- Help operators adopt frontier capabilities through clear documentation, hands-on training, programming, and direct collaboration.
- Partner with Engineering, IT, Security, Legal, and Privacy to deploy tools and workflows that meet security and compliance expectations.
- Act as a hands-on project manager and builder, driving cross-functional projects from idea to MVP to scaled adoption.
- Collaborate with marketers to identify areas where AI can enhance their workflows and improve marketing outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the organization to ensure successful adoption of AI-powered marketing tools.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong product mindset and experience in developing AI-native products and workflows.
- Ability to work in ambiguity and turn loosely defined opportunities into working systems for technical and non-technical people.
- Experience building systems integrations, automation platforms, internal tools, or technical workflows.
- Strong understanding of marketing operations and the role of AI in marketing.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and clearly explain technical tradeoffs to cross-functional partners.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with stakeholders across the organization.
- Experience with marketing (CRM, lifecycle tooling, analytics, creative tooling, or campaign infrastructure) or a willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, including natural language processing and computer vision.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud-based automation platforms, such as Zapier or Automator.
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or Java.
- Experience with data analytics and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
