About the Role
The Alpheratz Project, led by Welo Global, is seeking a skilled Dutch (Netherlands) Translation Quality Rater to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and natural flow of machine-translated customer service content. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong linguistic skills in both Dutch and English, and the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.Day-to-day, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and refining translated content to meet the project's high standards. This will involve evaluating the quality of machine translations, applying severity ratings as necessary, and creating high-quality human translations for reference and model training purposes. The role requires a deep understanding of Dutch language nuances, as well as the ability to follow specific style guides, tone rules, and terminology requirements.
The project's success relies on the ability of its team members to work independently while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency in their work. What You Will Do
- Edit and review machine-translated customer service content to ensure accuracy and natural language flow.
- Evaluate the quality of machine translations and apply severity ratings according to project guidelines.
- Produce high-quality human translations for use as reference data in model training and quality evaluation.
- Follow provided style guides, tone rules, and terminology requirements to maintain consistency across all content.
- Identify and report recurring machine translation quality issues and trends observed at the batch level.
- Collaborate with the project team to continuously improve translation quality and processes.
- Utilize digital tools and platforms for content management and quality assessment.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project guidelines, adapting to updates and changes as necessary.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to resolve any discrepancies and improve overall content quality.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and guidelines for translation quality evaluation.
What We Are Looking For
- Native proficiency in Dutch (Netherlands) and strong English language skills.
