About the Role
The Field Service Representative position at Altra is a dynamic role that involves executing seasonal go-to-market and service strategies across multiple states, including Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. As a motivated self-starter, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving brand growth, awareness, and sell-through by delivering impactful retail support, community engagement, and field activations. This role requires close partnership with Sales Representatives, specialty retail accounts, and cross-functional teams to execute activation plans and strengthen Altra's presence in the market.The ideal candidate will reside in the Kansas City area to better support their client base, although the role is fully remote. This position reports to the Regional Field Service Manager and involves frequent travel within the assigned territory, including attendance at consumer events, races, and expos, which may require evening and weekend work.
What You Will Do
- Support retail partners through store visits, product demos, and sales floor training to drive product knowledge and sales
- Execute merchandising, promotional activations, and seasonal brand initiatives across the territory
- Represent Altra at community events, races, expos, and consumer engagement activities
- Build strong relationships with retail and community partners to increase brand awareness and advocacy
- Partner with Sales Representatives and Field Service teams to deliver effective territory plans, training, and activations
- Gather and share insights on consumer feedback, product performance, competitor activity, and market trends
- Maintain accurate reporting, manage field resources responsibly, and ensure operational excellence
- Achieve territory goals through consistent execution, strong organization, and proactive problem-solving
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies and improve overall performance
What We Are Looking For
- Familiarity with the Altra product line
- Experience fitting and selling technical footwear
- Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (including Outlook and Excel)
- Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to take initiative
- Reliable transportation
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field
Nice to Have
- 1+ year of specialty retail experience (run or outdoor specialty preferred)
- 2+ years of marketing, sales, or field service experience
- Experience with event planning and execution
