Job Description

About the Role

The Applications Analyst position at Gildan is a critical role within the Information Technology Department, focusing on providing Level 1 support for inventory management and logistics transactions in JD Edwards. This involves working closely with IT Business Analyst colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations. The role is pivotal in maintaining system integrity, identifying discrepancies, and executing corrective actions. It also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support issue testing, develop training guides, and provide post-go-live support. As part of a vertically integrated manufacturing company with facilities across Central America, the Caribbean, North America, and Asia, the successful candidate will be part of a global team dedicated to Making Apparel Better. This role reports to the Manager, Applications, and is based in Christ Church. The day-to-day activities will include operational support, transaction processing, data maintenance, and reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and consistency of system data. The role will also involve maintaining and enhancing process documentation and knowledge base articles to support efficient operations and knowledge sharing.

What You Will Do

  • Provide Level 1 application support for JD Edwards ERP systems, prioritizing and resolving user incidents, service requests, and inquiries related to inventory management, logistics, and shipping documentation.
  • Maintain system integrity by identifying discrepancies and executing corrective actions, including oversight of inventory control and transfer-related batch jobs.
  • Perform operational support activities such as transaction processing, data maintenance, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency of system data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support testing and validation of system enhancements across core business functions.
  • Maintain and enhance process documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures to support efficient operations and knowledge sharing.
  • Support user access and security within JD Edwards, including role assignments and basic configuration updates, while providing guidance to end users.
  • Develop and provide training guides for end-users on JD Edwards and related systems.
  • Participate in the testing of new or updated processes and systems to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement system improvements.
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve complex issues and provide solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in ERP systems and related technologies.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in application support, ERP systems, or a similar role.
  • Experience with JD Edwards (EnterpriseOne or World) or SAP systems is an asset.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and clearly document findings.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with business users and cross-functional IT teams.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Willingness to develop basic SQL knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
