About the Role
The Analytics Engineer will play a crucial role in Reddit's Consumer Data Science team, working closely with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to develop and deploy data pipelines, architect data solutions, and drive business growth. This role sits at the intersection of data science and data engineering, requiring a unique blend of technical skills and business acumen. What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows for data ingestion, processing, and transformation
- Work closely with engineering to ensure the quality and reliability of data pipelines
- Create and maintain reporting dashboards, data aggregations, and other deliverables for product feature tracking, user retention analysis, and A/B testing
- Architect and improve the collection of underlying data for consumer products
- Collaborate with data scientists to develop and deploy machine learning models
- Design and implement data quality checks and monitoring systems
- Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines and workflows
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data needs
- Develop and maintain data visualizations and reports to inform product decisions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and science
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
- Experience with data pipeline development and workflow management
- Strong understanding of data modeling and database design
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
