About the Role
The Anthropic Fellows Program is designed to foster AI research and engineering talent. As a fellow, you will work on an empirical project aligned with Anthropic's research priorities, with the goal of producing a public output, such as a paper submission. You will have direct mentorship from Anthropic researchers and access to a shared workspace in either Berkeley, California, or London, UK.The program is highly competitive, and fellows are expected to be self-motivated and driven. You will be working on a project that has the potential to make a significant impact in the field of AI safety. What You Will Do
- Work on an empirical project aligned with Anthropic's research priorities
- Produce a public output, such as a paper submission
- Collaborate with Anthropic researchers and other fellows
- Participate in weekly meetings and discussions
- Conduct research and experiments using external infrastructure, such as open-source models and public APIs
- Analyze and interpret data, and draw meaningful conclusions
- Communicate research findings and results to both technical and non-technical audiences

What We Are Looking For
- A strong background in AI research, including a degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field
- Experience with machine learning, deep learning, or natural language processing
- Programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with open-source models and public APIs
