About the Role
The Anthropic Fellows Program is designed to support the development of promising technical talent in AI research and engineering. As a fellow, you will have the opportunity to work on an empirical project aligned with Anthropic's research priorities, with the goal of producing a public output such as a paper submission. You will be part of a cohort of fellows who will receive funding and mentorship from Anthropic researchers.The program is focused on fostering a community of talented individuals who are passionate about AI research and its applications. Fellows will have access to a shared workspace in either Berkeley, California, or London, UK, and will be connected to the broader AI safety and security research community.

What You Will Do
- Conduct research on an empirical project aligned with Anthropic's research priorities
- Produce a public output such as a paper submission
- Collaborate with Anthropic researchers and other fellows
- Participate in regular meetings and discussions
- Utilize external infrastructure such as open-source models and public APIs
- Develop and implement research proposals
- Analyze and interpret data
- Write and publish research papers
- Present research findings to the Anthropic community
What We Are Looking For
- Strong background in AI research and engineering
- Experience with programming languages such as Python
- Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning concepts
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
