About the Role
The Appian Developer/Architect role at Derex Technologies is a unique opportunity to lead the design and delivery of complex Appian BPM and Case Management solutions. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for establishing and enforcing Appian standards, frameworks, and best practices. The role requires strong technical skills, as well as the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design end-to-end business process models, case flows, SLAs, audit trails, and exception handling. Your expertise will be crucial in driving optimization, refactoring, and modularization of Appian applications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Appian development, with experience in leading complex projects and driving technical innovation. You will be part of a team that values collaboration, creativity, and technical excellence.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design and delivery of complex Appian BPM and Case Management solutions
- Establish and enforce Appian standards, frameworks, design patterns, and best practices
- Design end-to-end business process models, case flows, SLAs, audit trails, and exception handling
- Review designs and code to ensure performance, scalability, security, and reusability
- Drive optimization, refactoring, and modularization of Appian applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and drive technical innovation
- Lead the development of Appian applications, including design, development, testing, and deployment
- Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for Appian applications
What We Are Looking For
- Appian L3 Certification or equivalent experience
- Strong background in Appian development, with experience in leading complex projects
- Experience with Appian BPM and Case Management solutions
- Strong technical skills, including Java, XML, and SQL
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Experience with cloud deployment, including AWS or Azure
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues
Nice to Have
- Experience with Appian RPA, AI Skills, or IDP Java plugins
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps integration
- Experience working with legacy BPM systems, such as AWD
