Job Description

About the Role

The Application Support Specialist role at Internova Travel Group is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and customer service skills. As a key member of the Travel Technologies team, you will be responsible for providing all levels of GDS and technical product support to advisors and internal departments, ensuring that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the travel industry, particularly in the areas of luxury travel and corporate travel management. You will be expected to collaborate closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure that our technical systems are aligned with business objectives and that our advisors have the tools and support they need to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Travelport solutions, including GDS and booking tools
  • Manage the GDS Help Desk, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with advisors and internal departments to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
  • Develop and maintain documentation of technical processes and procedures
  • Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of new advisors, including setup and training on GDS systems
  • Support the implementation of new client OBTs and BTA cards
  • Create bespoke solutions and scripts to support internal and advisor needs
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes in travel technology, making recommendations for process improvements and system enhancements
  • Manage and support all processes that flow into and out of the GDS, including advisor processes and back-office systems
  • Identify and share changes and updates related to the GDS with operational leaders
  • Set up and support Sabre Red apps and scripts, Galileo Navitas products, and other travel technology solutions

What We Are Looking For

  • Advanced knowledge of the travel industry, particularly in luxury travel and corporate travel management
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Travelport (back-end) and Travelport script knowledge (Smart Buttons preferably)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with advisors, internal departments, and external partners
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Experience with GDS software installation and support, as well as GDS hotel rate code loading and maintenance

Nice to Have

  • Experience with scriptwriting (Smart buttons-Travelport, Workflows-Sabre, Smartflows-Amadeus
  • Knowledge of Compleat (mid-office) updates and GDS audits
  • Experience with Sabre Red apps and scripts, Galileo Navitas products, and other travel technology solutions
