About the Role

Twilio is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer 2 to join its GTM Automation team. As a Salesforce Developer, you will play a crucial role in evolving the company's Salesforce data model, making it technically scalable, easily reportable, and functionally intuitive for end users. You will work closely with the business to deliver impact and expand your expertise beyond Salesforce.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Salesforce developer with a deep understanding of the core business problems being addressed. You should be able to balance speed and quality, provide solution alternatives, and have a results-oriented approach with a 'can do' attitude.

What You Will Do

  • Work with the GTM Automation Systems team to evolve a Salesforce data model that is technically scalable, easily reportable, and functionally intuitive for end users.
  • Utilize SOQL API's, Apex controllers, Apex Web Services, Apex callouts, and other development tools to build custom functionality that tailors sales systems to Twilio's unique business and operating model.
  • Participate in technical analysis activities, documenting requirements for application integration and working with architects and other stakeholders on integration design activities.
  • Review and assure quality in all code entering the codebase.
  • Continually evaluate and refactor the existing codebase for increased extensibility.
  • Ability to learn new technologies depending on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation of the Salesforce platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience with Apex, LWC, SOQL, and Javascript with Agile development practices.
  • Advanced flow development skills.
  • Experience with API integrations (ETL, marketing tools, ERP, analytics).
  • Data architecture support skills.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and limitations.
  • Experience working in a remote team environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with other development tools and technologies.
