About the Role
The Applications Engineer 2 role at Twilio is a unique opportunity for experienced Salesforce developers to join a growing team and make a significant impact on the company's sales systems. As a member of the GTM Automation team, you will work closely with the business to deliver innovative solutions and expand the breadth of exposure beyond Salesforce. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, experience with Apex, LWC, SOQL, and a strong background in Agile development practices.The role entails working on evolving a Salesforce data model that is technically scalable, easily reportable, and functionally intuitive for end-users. You will utilize SOQL API's, Apex controllers, Apex Web Services, and other development tools to build custom functionality that tailors Twilio's sales systems to their unique business and operating model.
What You Will Do
- Work with the GTM Automation Systems team to deliver impact-driven solutions
- Utilize SOQL API's, Apex controllers, Apex Web Services, and other development tools to build custom functionality
- Participate in technical analysis activities and document requirements for application integration
- Review and assure quality in all code entering the codebase
- Continually evaluate and refactor the existing codebase for increased extensibility
- Ability to learn new technologies depending on project requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for all applications and systems
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the overall quality of the codebase
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce releases and features
- Develop and implement automated testing and deployment scripts
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years experience with Apex, LWC, SOQL, and Agile development practices
- Knowledge of Force.com coding standard methodologies and experience in Salesforce Lightning Design System
- Experience in identifying complex problems and developing creative solutions
- Strong background in data analysis and management
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and limitations
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Certification in Salesforce development is a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience with other programming languages such as Java or Python
- Knowledge of cloud-based integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Jitterbit
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI
- Certification in Agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
