## About the Role The Approvals Administration & Revit Drafstman role is a critical component of Virtual Coworker's construction team, responsible for creating accurate 3D Revit models and detailed construction documentation for residential projects across Australia. This role requires a deep understanding of construction regulations, design principles, and project management methodologies. As part of a remote team, the successful candidate will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure compliance with NCC, BCA, Australian Standards, LEP, DCP, and CDC requirements. Day-to-day, the role entails managing approval workflow tasks and checklist tracking through HubSpot or equivalent systems, coordinating submissions to various consultants, and monitoring turnaround times. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The role reports to a senior construction manager and is part of a larger team of construction professionals, including engineers, architects, and project managers. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of residential projects, from single dwellings to multi-unit developments, and to develop expertise in construction documentation and approvals.
## What You Will Do - Create accurate 3D Revit models and detailed construction documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailing for residential projects.
- Convert design concepts and site information into technical drawings suitable for construction and approval submissions.
- Prepare and coordinate CDC and DA approval documentation across NSW, QLD, and VIC.
- Manage approval workflow tasks and checklist tracking through HubSpot or equivalent systems.
- Coordinate submissions to engineers, energy assessors, soil testing providers, certifiers, and other consultants.
- Monitor turnaround times and ensure timely completion of approval documentation.
- Assist with completion of approval forms, BASIX requirements, Mine Subsidence applications, and supporting documentation.
- Review drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with NCC, BCA, Australian Standards, LEP, DCP, and CDC requirements.
- Conduct drawing revisions and updates based on client, consultant, or certifier feedback.
- Schedule and track approvals progress, plan reviews, and project milestones.
- Participate in Zoom meetings regarding approvals, amendments, and project updates.
- Maintain organized Dropbox file management systems and accurate project records.
- Log workflow updates, communications, and project information into HubSpot or equivalent systems.
- Proficiency in Revit and Autodesk software.
- Strong understanding of construction regulations and compliance requirements in Australia.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Experience with HubSpot or equivalent CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as architecture, engineering, or construction management.
- Certification in Revit or a related field.
