About the Role
The Architectural Graduate role at Populous is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates to join a team of talented designers and contribute to the creation of community-defining places. As a key member of the Sydney studio, you will be immersed in the full spectrum of the design process, from early concepts to detailed delivery. You will work alongside industry leaders, gaining hands-on experience and guidance to launch your architectural career. What You Will Do
- Shape design ideas through sketches, diagrams, and 3D models
- Produce diagrams, drawings, and perspectives that clearly communicate intent
- Collaborate with architects and designers, contributing to design and documentation
- Coordinate with external consultants
- Develop and refine 3D visualisations and presentation materials
- Support delivery through documentation, coordination, and submission packages
- Engage in design discussions, applying critical thinking and problem-solving
- Contribute to the development of sustainable design solutions
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations
- Participate in design competitions and research initiatives
What We Are Looking For
- A degree in Architecture or a related field
- Strong design skills, with proficiency in Excel and other design software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Passion for sustainable design and community-focused projects
- Familiarity with industry-standard design tools and software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Nice to Have
- Experience with 3D modeling and visualisation software
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices
- Familiarity with project management tools and software
- Certification in architecture or a related field
