About the Role

The Area Business Manager position at Sanofi is a critical role that requires a unique blend of business acumen, scientific knowledge, and interpersonal skills. As a key member of the vaccine sales team, you will be responsible for driving growth and revenue within a designated territory. This role entails building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, presenting clinically focused selling messages, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and results-driven individual with a strong understanding of the healthcare industry and vaccine market. What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth and revenue within a designated territory
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and other key decision-makers
  • Present clinically focused selling messages to customers, highlighting the benefits and value of Sanofi's vaccine portfolio
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and medical affairs, to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, using this knowledge to inform sales strategies and tactics
  • Analyze sales data and market research to identify opportunities and challenges, and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Sanofi's vaccine portfolio, including product features, benefits, and pricing
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including expanding existing relationships and developing new ones
  • Work closely with other Area Business Managers to share best practices and leverage collective knowledge and expertise

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science, business, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the biopharma industry, with a focus on vaccine sales
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze sales data and market research to inform sales strategies
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools

Nice to Have

  • Experience with vaccine sales, particularly in a pediatric or family medicine setting
  • Knowledge of account-based sales strategies and tactics
  • Certification in sales or a related field, such as the Certified National Pharmaceutical Representative (CNPR) designation
