What You Will Do

  • Evaluate the performance of AI models in art history and art theory
  • Analyze and interpret artworks, compositional analyses, and historical imagery
  • Develop and implement methods for assessing the accuracy and relevance of AI models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that AI models meet the company's goals and objectives
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in art history and theory
  • Develop and maintain documentation of AI model performance and evaluation methods
  • Identify and mitigate potential biases in AI models
  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and relevance of AI models
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize and address issues related to AI model performance
  • Develop and deliver training and educational materials to support the use of AI models

What We Are Looking For

  • PhD in Art History or Art Theory, or MA in Art History with 3+ years teaching, curatorial, or research experience, or BA in Art History with 5+ years teaching, tutoring, or applied curatorial experience
  • Working fluency in at least two of: art history periods, critical theory, visual analysis, curatorial practice, conservation
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting artworks, compositional analyses, and historical imagery
  • Clear technical writing skills and the ability to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form
  • Experience working with digital tools and technologies, including AI models and machine learning algorithms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or R
