About the Role
Microwave Products Group is seeking a skilled Assembler to join their Solutions team in York. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling precision electronic parts to build filters, utilizing core and advanced filter technologies. This role is crucial in enabling connection and protection around the world, and the ideal candidate will be confident, organized, and have a keen eye for detail.As part of a highly skilled and customer-focused team, the Assembler will work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality products that meet the company's exacting standards. The role involves using various equipment, including microscopes, solder dispensers, and soldering irons, to assemble and build filters to the required specifications.

What You Will Do
- Assemble precision electronic parts to build filters, including SMD components
- Use specification sheets, production, and engineering drawings to complete assigned tasks
- Follow work instructions to ensure high-quality products
- Utilize equipment such as microscopes, solder dispensers, and soldering irons
- Conduct electronic fault finding and resolve product issues
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver continuous improvement and targets
- Maintain a tidy and organized work area
- Adjust and fine-tune products as necessary
- Participate in quality control processes
- Contribute to the development of new products and processes
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar role or an interest/experience in soldering, model making, or taking items apart and putting them back together
- Confidence and organization, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to find faults and suggest solutions
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of electronic components and subsystems
- Experience with quality control processes
