The role is based in Norwich, and the successful candidate will be expected to work on-site as part of the manufacturing team. What You Will Do
- Assemble, test, and calibrate a range of instruments across multiple manufacturing cells
- Follow defined processes and procedures, including Standard Work Instructions, 5S Standards, and Safe Systems of Work
- Collaborate with fellow assembly operatives and manufacturing technicians to ensure that all products meet quality and reliability standards
- Participate in the basic diagnosis and rework of Fluke products, and escalate faults to technicians or team leaders as required
- Suggest and implement process and product improvements using the FBS toolset
- Participate in continuous improvement events and daily management meetings
- Create, review, and implement new procedures and work instructions
- Train fellow operatives on defined processes and procedures
- Interact with production team leaders and other members of the management team to define priorities and escalate issues
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and adhere to all safety procedures and protocols
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a role that involves assembly, testing, or calibration
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow defined processes and procedures, and to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Ability to work on-site in Norwich
- High school diploma or equivalent required, degree in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Nice to Have
- Experience with lean production principles and process improvement
- Knowledge of instrument calibration and testing procedures
- Familiarity with the FBS toolset and other manufacturing software
- Certification in a related field, such as quality control or manufacturing engineering
