About the Role
The Asset Management Analyst role is a critical part of Bluecore Residential's investment team, responsible for analyzing and optimizing the performance of the company's multifamily assets. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with senior leadership to drive portfolio performance and identify areas for improvement. What You Will Do
- Prepare monthly and quarterly variance-to-budget analyses to identify areas for improvement
- Decompose variances into operational drivers, market conditions, and comparable property performance
- Maintain and enhance market comp sets to track submarket rent, occupancy, and concession data
- Partner with Property Management to identify performance gaps and track corrective action plans
- Build and maintain Excel models and reporting tools for budget-vs-actual tracking and trend analysis
- Extract and analyze property management system data to support recurring reporting and ad hoc analysis
- Analyze underwriting budgets and operating assumptions for multifamily assets
- Support investment reporting materials, including memos, return analysis, and scenario modeling
- Assist in due diligence processes, including review of third-party reports and financial data
- Support the annual budgeting process and build property-level operating budgets
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 1-4 years of experience in multifamily or commercial real estate, with a focus on asset management, property accounting, acquisitions, FP&A, or valuation/appraisal
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel, including the ability to build and audit models
- Familiarity with multifamily operating statements and key metrics, including NOI, economic occupancy, trade-outs, and expense ratios
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with AI tools, such as Claude or ChatGPT, and experience with process optimization
- Experience with data analytics and reporting tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Certification in a related field, such as the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation
