About the Role
The Assistant ARFF role at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd is a critical position that requires a high level of skill and training in emergency response and firefighting. As a key member of the airport's safety team, the successful candidate will be responsible for responding to aircraft and structural fire emergencies, medical emergencies, and hazardous material incidents. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, often in high-pressure situations, and requires a strong ability to remain calm and focused under stress.The Assistant ARFF will be part of a team that is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of passengers, crew, and airport personnel. The team works closely with other airport departments, including airport operations, medical services, and external emergency agencies, to provide a comprehensive emergency response service.
The role is based at Mangaluru airport, which is one of the key airports in the Adani Airport Holdings Ltd network. The airport is a busy hub for both domestic and international flights, and the Assistant ARFF will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the airport.
What You Will Do
- Respond promptly to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and other emergency situations on airport property
- Perform firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services to ensure the safety of individuals and property
- Use various firefighting techniques, including the use of water, foam, dry chemicals, and other firefighting agents, to extinguish fires
- Conduct search and rescue operations in smoke-filled and hazardous environments
- Provide first aid and basic life support to injured or ill individuals until advanced medical personnel arrive
- Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities as needed
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of firefighting vehicles, extinguishers, and personal protective equipment
- Maintain inventory of firefighting supplies and equipment and ensure their readiness for use
- Participate in routine emergency response simulations, ICAO-mandated training, and fire drills
- Maintain detailed incident reports, training records, and shift logs for regulatory audits
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or equivalent qualification
- Strong knowledge of firefighting techniques and emergency response procedures
