About the Role
The Assistant ARFF position at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd is a critical role that requires a high level of physical fitness, mental toughness, and the ability to work well under pressure. As a member of the Airport Rescue and Firefighting team, the successful candidate will be responsible for responding to aircraft and structural fire emergencies, medical emergencies, and other incidents within the airport premises.The role entails working in a fast-paced environment, often in challenging conditions, to ensure the safety and security of passengers, crew, and airport personnel. The team context is highly collaborative, with the Assistant ARFF working closely with airport operations, medical services, and external emergency agencies to respond to incidents and emergencies.
The reporting structure for this role involves working under the supervision of the Duty Manager and collaborating with other key stakeholders, including the ARFF Airport Operations Team, Airport Security, and Emergency Medical Services.
What You Will Do
- Respond promptly to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials incidents on airport property.
- Perform firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services to ensure the safety of individuals and property.
- Conduct search and rescue operations in smoke-filled and hazardous environments.
- Provide first aid and basic life support to injured or ill individuals until advanced medical personnel arrive.
- Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities as needed.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of firefighting vehicles, extinguishers, and personal protective equipment.
- Maintain inventory of firefighting supplies and equipment and ensure their readiness for use.
- Participate in routine emergency response simulations, ICAO-mandated training, and fire drills.
- Maintain detailed incident reports, training records, and shift logs for regulatory audits.
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in firefighting, rescue operations, and emergency medical services.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks in challenging conditions.
- Ability to work in a shift-based roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to firefighting and emergency response.
