About the Role

As an Assistant Project Manager at Pivot Energy, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards. You will work closely with the Project Management team, providing administrative and technical support to help drive project success. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing financial funding requirements, tracking issue logs, and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction industry, including typical project controls and safety compliance. You will be a resourceful individual with excellent problem-solving skills, able to work under pressure and manage change effectively. Your ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders will be crucial in this role.

What You Will Do

  • Help progress projects through the development workflow under the direction of the Project Operations Manager
  • Support the organization and review of contracts in the internal document library
  • Interface with vendors and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Monitor subcontractor construction progress, reinforcing safety and quality standards
  • Initiate close-out procedures and prepare close-out documents
  • Work alongside the Finance Team to prepare EPC-specific documents and checklist items
  • Attend and provide support on contractor and utility scheduled meetings
  • Maintain internal and external data rooms
  • Support the PM team in managing Procore and tracking schedule changes
  • Review and create team processes to improve project efficiency

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of related experience in solar ground mount or construction management
  • 2+ years of total professional experience
  • Proven working experience in project management, with knowledge of construction means and methods
  • Understanding of basic site diligence documents, including Geotech, ESAs, permits, and land-use agreements
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of scheduling concepts, such as CPM and Gantt charts
  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, and scheduling software

Nice to Have

  • Experience working for a large design-build general contractor
  • Experience with renewable energy IPPs that execute their own construction projects
  • Basic knowledge of Procore or basic project management information systems
  • Basic knowledge of construction lending and project financing
  • OSHA 30 certification
