About the Role
The Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice, FNP Clinical Decision Making position is a unique opportunity to join a prestigious institution and contribute to the education of future nursing professionals. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and managing instructors in the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program. This is a 12-month, full-time contract position that offers the chance to work with a talented team of educators and make a meaningful impact on the lives of students.The role entails a range of responsibilities, from course coordination to student evaluation, and requires a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. What You Will Do
- Serve as Course Coordinator for the FNP Clinical Decision Making program
- Oversee and manage the CDM curriculum, program, and processes
- Coordinate with the Director of FNP Clinical Education to ensure consistency and quality in teaching
- Hold regular meetings with Section Instructors to ensure they are prepared to deliver course content
- Observe synchronous classes to ensure consistency and quality
- Provide regular feedback and support to Section Instructors
- Foster a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility, lifelong learning, inclusion, and ethics
- Audit and review student grades
- Manage student escalations as they arise
- Attend monthly Course Coordinator meetings
- Complete formative faculty evaluations for Section Instructors
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching and education
- A strong background in nursing, with a focus on FNP Clinical Decision Making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience with curriculum development and program management
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Experience with online learning platforms and technology
Nice to Have
- Experience with educational technology and online learning platforms
- Certification in nursing education or a related field
