About the Role

The Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice, FNP Clinical Decision Making position is a unique opportunity to join a prestigious institution and contribute to the education of future nursing professionals. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching and managing instructors in the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program. This is a 12-month, full-time contract position that offers the chance to work with a talented team of educators and make a meaningful impact on the lives of students.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as Course Coordinator for the FNP Clinical Decision Making program
  • Oversee and manage the CDM curriculum, program, and processes
  • Coordinate with the Director of FNP Clinical Education to ensure consistency and quality in teaching
  • Hold regular meetings with Section Instructors to ensure they are prepared to deliver course content
  • Observe synchronous classes to ensure consistency and quality
  • Provide regular feedback and support to Section Instructors
  • Foster a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility, lifelong learning, inclusion, and ethics
  • Audit and review student grades
  • Manage student escalations as they arise
  • Attend monthly Course Coordinator meetings
  • Complete formative faculty evaluations for Section Instructors

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching and education
  • A strong background in nursing, with a focus on FNP Clinical Decision Making
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with curriculum development and program management
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Experience with online learning platforms and technology
