About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Manage a caseload of routine to moderately complex workers' compensation claims
  • Evaluate compensability and liability for each claim, and make key decisions on coverage and settlement
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence to support claim decisions
  • Negotiate fair outcomes with claimants, policyholders, and attorneys
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including claims, underwriting, and legal
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with claimants, policyholders, and partners
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and continuously improve skills and knowledge
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

What We Are Looking For

  • 2-5 years of experience in a claims-related role, preferably in workers' compensation
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with minimal supervision
  • Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, law, or health sciences
  • Relevant certifications, such as AIC or CPCU, are preferred but not required
