About the Role
The Associate Commercial Counsel role at Dropbox is a key position that entails providing legal support for the company's commercial transactions, including sales and procurement deals. As a member of the global commercial legal team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and other business partners. Your expertise in commercial law will be essential in navigating complex deals and ensuring that Dropbox's interests are protected.The role is based in Canada, with the option to work remotely, and reports to the Senior Commercial Counsel - North America Lead. What You Will Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts with Dropbox vendors, customers, and other business partners
- Provide legal support for sales and procurement teams, including advising on contract terms and conditions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, scalable approaches to commercial matters
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Dropbox's commercial transactions and business strategies
- Identify and mitigate potential legal risks associated with commercial transactions
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and implement processes and procedures to support commercial operations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in commercial law
- Provide training and guidance to sales and procurement teams on commercial legal matters
- Collaborate with external counsel as needed
