About the Role
The Associate Creative Director, Customer Stories, at Ramp is a pivotal role that sets the creative standard for the company's customer films. This involves leading the charge on celebrating the compelling people and businesses building on Ramp's platform. The successful candidate will own the story bar, bringing narrative clarity and filmmaker-level craft to every project. This role is about defining the program's creative principles, writing treatments, and directing a team of filmmakers and animators to produce high-quality customer stories.As a creative leader, the Associate Creative Director will set the standard for how Ramp is represented to its customers, partnering across the business to ensure every project meets an exceptionally high bar for craft and storytelling. The role requires a deep understanding of production and the ability to govern the production tier system, establishing an internal production kit that ensures consistency and quality.

What You Will Do
- Set the creative standard for Ramp's customer films and enforce it on every project
- Apply a story bar before any project enters production, ensuring real narrative tension and a compelling character on screen
- Develop and evolve Ramp's film series, building a recognizable body of work
- Direct the creative for Tier 1 brand films end-to-end, including brief, casting, shoot direction, editorial, and final cut
- Lead the Customer Creative team and grow a bench of editors, filmmakers, and writers
- Govern the production tier system and establish the internal production kit
- Partner with Product Marketing on launch films and co-build stories filmed during the creation of new products
- Own scripting and narrative across the program, with strong writing chops in narrative structure, scene-level scripting, treatments, and customer interviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective storytelling
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in film and creative direction with a portfolio that leans heavily into film, including brand documentaries, character-driven branded content, or editorial work
- Strong writing chops, including narrative structure, scene-level scripting, treatments, and customer interviews
- Strong story casting instincts, with the ability to spot compelling characters and pull stories out of corporate settings
- Understanding of the structural difference between a brand film and a sales-floor film, and the ability to brief, cast, and direct them differently
- Experience building creative frameworks, including production playbooks and brief templates
- Experience leading a team and producing a recognizable body of work
- Hands-on experience with AI tools in production and post, such as Runway, Descript, Adobe AI, ElevenLabs, VO3, Gemini, and Midjourney
- A background in filmmaking-leaning agencies or in-house creative leadership at companies with a high film bar

- A network of editors, writers, and filmmakers to bring into the bench
- Documentary or editorial credits outside the brand world, such as festival, journalism, or publishing
