About the Role
As an Associate Data Analyst at General Dynamics Information Technology, you will play a critical role in supporting the oversight, monitoring, and audits of the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program. Your work will have a direct impact on the mission of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). You will be part of a team that collaborates with investigators and auditors to identify solutions to complex challenges, driving critical thinking and exploratory research to understand program rules and how data can provide insights to inform decision making.The Associate Data Analyst role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about data analysis and want to work on high-impact projects. What You Will Do
- Support oversight and monitoring of the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program with data analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program investigators and auditors to identify solutions to complex challenges
- Drive critical thinking and exploratory research to understand program rules and how data can provide insights to inform decision making
- Utilize Python, Snowflake, and SQL to uncover patterns and trends in large datasets that are meaningful to program oversight and action
- Develop and maintain databases and data systems to support program operations
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends and patterns
- Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Develop and implement data quality control processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of data
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data analysis
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science)
- At least 1 year of experience in data analysis
- Experience using Python for data analysis
- Understanding of SQL for data extraction
- Familiarity with data stack tools such as Snowflake
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Nice to Have
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and modeling techniques
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
