About the Role

The Associate Director, Commercial Data & Business Systems is a business-led data leader responsible for defining, governing, and scaling the organization’s end-to-end data ecosystem. This role sits within Enterprise Analytics & Operations and ensures that data strategies, architecture, and governance frameworks are aligned with evolving business needs and enable high-quality, decision-ready insights across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, with the ability to design scalable data ecosystems, enforce governance standards, and proactively anticipate future data needs. What You Will Do

  • Develop and steer the commercial data strategy in alignment with organizational goals, ensuring both successful launch readiness and sustained implementation.
  • Establish a scalable data architecture integrating Salesforce CRM and commercial platforms, omnichannel engagement, marketing systems, consent and identify systems, and internal product and patient HUB data sources.
  • Drive alignment of data models, schemas, and standards across all systems and business functions.
  • Design and implement data governance frameworks, including data ownership and stewardship models, data quality standards and monitoring, metadata, lineage, and auditability.
  • Ensure consistent definitions and usage of key data assets across CRM, omnichannel, analytics, and reporting environments.
  • Proactively identify and resolve data gaps, inconsistencies, and risks across the ecosystem.
  • Establish and oversee Master Data Management strategy across key commercial entities.
  • Ensure a unified and trusted “golden record” across Salesforce CRM, data warehouse, and downstream systems.
  • Implement stewardship processes to maintain data integrity and consistency at scale.
  • Ensure Salesforce CRM is effectively integrated as a core system within the broader data ecosystem.
  • Define how CRM data structures align with enterprise data models and governance standards.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial data strategy, architecture, and governance, preferably in the life sciences industry.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce and commercial data systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive change and improvement in a rapidly evolving industry.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of data models, schemas, and standards, with the ability to drive alignment across all systems and business functions.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks, including data ownership and stewardship models, data quality standards, and metadata management.
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management principles and practices.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in commercial data strategy.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems.
