About the Role

The Associate Director, Global eCommerce & Marketing, plays a critical role in defining and maintaining Carrier's global digital platforms, including CMS, eCommerce, search, marketing automation, localization, and SaaS integrations. This senior leadership position requires a deep understanding of digital commerce, marketing technology, and strategic business planning. As a key member of the Digital Sales and Serve Center of Excellence team, the successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, engineering, enterprise architecture, and external vendors to drive Carrier's global digital ecosystem forward.

The role is accountable for technological strategy, solution design, delivery alignment, and operational readiness for major digital initiatives. This involves bridging the gap between visionary marketing strategies and high-performance engineering to ensure a unified roadmap for Carrier's global digital ecosystem. With a strong focus on customer-centricity and innovation, the Associate Director will partner closely with the Director Digital Marketing & Customer Experience to co-steer Carrier's global Digital Customer Experience transformation.

The Digital Revenue Accelerator team within the DSS COE oversees all of Carrier's global investment in eCommerce, MarTech, and SaaS, aiming to solidify Carrier's position as a leader in the digital commerce and MarTech spaces. As such, the Associate Director will be responsible for defining and governing multisite and multilocal standards, including global, regional, and country-level site models, that empower marketing teams while maintaining enterprise security and performance compliance.

What You Will Do

  • Define and maintain Carrier's global digital platforms, including CMS, eCommerce, search, marketing automation, localization, and SaaS integrations from a technology perspective
  • Establish and govern multisite and multilocal standards, including global, regional, and country-level site models, that empower marketing teams while maintaining enterprise security and performance compliance
  • Serve as a technical lead for major digital initiatives, including platform migrations, global rollouts, and capability expansions
  • Partner closely with the Director Digital Marketing & Customer Experience to co-steer Carrier's global Digital Customer Experience transformation
  • Translate business requirements from Marketing and Sales stakeholders into clear architectural directions, solution designs, and executable implementation approaches
  • Partner with Product Owners and Engineering leads to align roadmaps, manage dependencies, and synchronize delivery plans
  • Act as the lead technical owner for strategic technology vendors and implementation partners
  • Support contract evaluations, renewals, and scope of changes through technical diligence
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Security, and Compliance teams to support vendor onboarding and risk reviews
  • Provide oversight and guidance on digital platform operations, ensuring scalability, security, and performance

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, eCommerce, or a related field, with a strong background in technology leadership and strategic planning
  • Proven experience in defining and maintaining global digital platforms, including CMS, eCommerce, search, marketing automation, localization, and SaaS integrations
  • Strong understanding of digital commerce, marketing technology, and strategic business planning
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MarTech and SaaS solutions, including marketing automation and localization
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks and technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms, such as AWS or Azure
  • Certification in digital marketing, eCommerce, or a related field
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders
