About the Role
The Associate Director, Paid Media position at Directive is a key role that oversees the development and execution of paid media campaigns for the company's clients. This involves working closely with the strategy team to set goals, ensure best practices are followed, and drive client retention. As a leader in the company, the Associate Director will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of growth and innovation, and driving results that meet or exceed client expectations.The role is part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Directive is a performance marketing agency that specializes in working with SaaS and tech companies, utilizing a unique marketing methodology called Customer Generation. This approach prioritizes generating SQLs and customers over traditional metrics, requiring a deep understanding of the client's business goals and the ability to develop tailored strategies that drive meaningful results.
What You Will Do
- Set goals for every client engagement in your pod, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy and the client's business objectives.
- Ensure that every client follows best practices across all channels and mediums, including LTV:CAC modeling, Customer Generation, Share of SERP, and Functional Content.
- Break down barriers to campaign success, supporting strategists in earning approval and navigating roadblocks through proactive communication and action planning.
- Build and manage a high-performing team, focusing on clear and concise communication, expectation setting, and empowerment.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, including the integration of AI and automation in marketing and operations, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve campaign performance.
- Collaborate with the revenue operations team to optimize campaign ROI and ensure seamless execution.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver tailored solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
- Analyze campaign data to identify areas of improvement and implement changes to optimize performance.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and regular client check-ins to ensure alignment and address any challenges or concerns.
- Contribute to the development of new business proposals and pitches, leveraging your expertise to showcase the company's capabilities and value proposition.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in paid media, with a proven track record of driving results through data-driven campaigns.
- Strong understanding of paid media channels, including Google Ads, Meta, and other platforms.
- Experience with Excel and other data analysis tools, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Understanding of the SaaS and tech industries, with experience working with clients in these sectors.
- Familiarity with Directive's Customer Generation methodology and its application in driving client results.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and develop creative solutions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI and automation in marketing and operations, with a keen interest in staying ahead of industry trends.
- Familiarity with additional data analysis tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Certification in Google Ads or other paid media platforms.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment, with strong self-motivation and discipline.
