About the Role

The Associate Director, Quality and Compliance, plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality services to clients, members, and stakeholders. This position is critical in ensuring that all operations are compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements, particularly for California government program clients. As a subject matter expert in compliance, this role provides operational guidance and support to implementation teams, ensuring that all processes adhere to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Day-to-day, the Associate Director will be involved in a wide range of activities, from monitoring and analyzing regulatory changes to implementing compliant processes across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of state and federal laws and regulations, including those related to Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid. The ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams is crucial, as is the capacity to communicate complex compliance issues in a clear and concise manner.

What You Will Do

  • Provide operational guidance on quality and compliance matters to ensure the effective delivery of services.
  • Serve as the compliance subject matter expert to operational leads, implementing contractually and regulatorily compliant processes.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in regulatory requirements, advising the organization on necessary adjustments.
  • Develop and implement quality and compliance programs to meet the needs of California government program clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of service delivery are compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communicate complex compliance issues and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in healthcare regulations and industry best practices.
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures to enhance quality and compliance across the organization.

What We Are Looking For

  • Five years of experience in government programs, product management, regulatory affairs, operations, or a related function, preferably in a healthcare or managed care environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations, including Medicare/Medicare Advantage and Medicaid requirements.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority, including skills in collaborating and influencing others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing quality and compliance programs, with a focus on process improvement and regulatory adherence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
