About the Role
The Associate, Internal Communications role at DoorDash is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact team that plays a critical part in shaping the company's internal narrative. As a key member of the global Internal Communications team, you will be responsible for developing and executing company-wide announcements, executive messaging, and time-sensitive updates. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, and will be an integral part of the team's efforts to craft and deliver high-priority internal communications. Your ability to write clearly and concisely, think strategically, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success.
What You Will Do
- Draft, edit, and shape internal communications, including company-wide announcements, leadership messages, FAQs, and intranet content
- Support the execution of high-priority communications, including organizational updates, company-wide moments, and time-sensitive messaging
- Own the execution of defined communications workstreams and manage timelines to ensure that communications are delivered accurately and on time
- Publish and maintain content across internal channels, including The Block, Slack, and email, to ensure quality and consistency
- Synthesize inputs from cross-functional partners and shape messaging into clear, structured drafts
- Identify gaps, risks, or opportunities in communications and proactively propose solutions
- Support the preparation for company-wide communications moments, including materials and logistics coordination
- Assist with content updates, version control, and quality assurance for sensitive communications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and support communications execution
- Develop skills in corporate, executive, and change communications with mentorship from senior team members
What We Are Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related field
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn rough inputs into clear, concise messaging
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, well-structured documents
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle sensitive information with care
- Collaborative, responsive, and proactive, with a strong ability to drive work forward
- Ability to take ownership of projects or workstreams end-to-end with minimal guidance
- Experience working in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments
- Strong knowledge of corporate communications principles and best practices
- Familiarity with internal communications channels and tools, such as The Block and Slack
