About the Role
The Associate Manager, Talent Acquisition will play a critical role in leading hiring efforts across software engineering functions, including backend, mobile, desktop, infrastructure, and product engineering. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills, as you'll be partnering closely with founding teams, leadership, and engineering leaders to identify and attract high-caliber talent globally. As a key member of the talent acquisition team, you'll be responsible for building pipelines from scratch, driving hiring decisions, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience.In this fast-paced environment, you'll need to be adept at managing multiple roles with speed and consistency, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and precision. Your expertise will be crucial in redesigning interview questions, scorecards, and assessments to raise the hiring bar and ensure that Bjak is attracting the best talent in the industry.
What You Will Do
- Own end-to-end hiring across assigned roles, from intake to close
- Build pipelines from scratch using direct sourcing, referrals, and targeted outreach
- Drive hiring decisions with clear signals, not just interview feedback
- Keep processes moving, removing delays, chasing feedback, and closing candidates
- Redesign interview questions, scorecards, and assessments to raise the hiring bar
- Recruit top talent through creative sourcing strategies and build a strong network of contacts
- Manage and track candidate pipelines, ensuring a seamless and efficient hiring process
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
- Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract diverse talent
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering leaders and founding teams
- Analyze recruitment metrics and provide data-driven insights to inform hiring decisions
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably in a fast-paced tech environment
- Strong sourcing ability, with a track record of generating pipelines without relying on inbound applicants
- Excellent judgment, with the ability to identify strong candidates beyond resumes and brand names
- Ability to manage multiple roles with speed and consistency, while maintaining high standards of quality
- Willingness to challenge and improve existing processes, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Clear, direct communication with hiring managers and candidates, with a customer-centric approach
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and high expectations, with a proactive and adaptable mindset
- Familiarity with recruitment tools and technologies, including ATS systems and sourcing platforms
- Strong understanding of the tech industry, with a focus on software engineering and AI
Nice to Have
- Experience working with remote teams, with a understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities of remote hiring
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion principles, with a focus on building a diverse and inclusive team
- Familiarity with data-driven recruitment strategies, with experience analyzing recruitment metrics and providing insights
