The Associate Manager, Talent Acquisition at Bjak is a pivotal role that involves leading the hiring process across various software engineering functions, including backend, mobile, desktop, infrastructure, and product engineering. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering talent quality, the ability to identify top candidates beyond their resumes, and strong judgment in making hiring decisions. The successful candidate will partner closely with founding teams, leadership, and engineering leaders to drive the hiring process forward.As a key member of the talent acquisition team, the Associate Manager will be responsible for building pipelines from scratch, leveraging direct sourcing, referrals, and targeted outreach to attract high-caliber talent globally. The role demands a proactive approach, with a focus on removing delays, chasing feedback, and ensuring that hiring processes are efficient and effective.

What You Will Do
- Own end-to-end hiring across assigned roles, from intake to close
- Build pipelines from scratch using direct sourcing, referrals, and targeted outreach
- Drive hiring decisions with clear signals, not just interview feedback
- Keep processes moving by removing delays, chasing feedback, and closing candidates
- Redesign interview questions, scorecards, and assessments to raise the hiring bar
- Improve recruitment processes to enhance speed, quality, and consistency across hiring
- Build employer presence through content, messaging, and candidate experience
- Manage multiple roles with speed and consistency
- Communicate clearly and directly with hiring managers and candidates
- Operate with ambiguity and high expectations, making good decisions under pressure
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in recruiting or talent acquisition (in-house or agency)
- Proven track record of closing roles in a fast-paced environment
- Strong sourcing ability, with the capacity to generate pipelines without relying on inbound applicants
- Good judgment in identifying strong candidates beyond their resumes
- Ability to manage multiple roles with speed and consistency
- Willingness to challenge and improve existing processes
- Clear, direct communication with hiring managers and candidates
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and high expectations
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
- Strong understanding of digital skills and their application in software engineering
