About the Role
The Associate, Member and Provider Optimization role at Oscar Health is a key position that involves working cross-functionally with various stakeholders to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency. As a member of the Member & Provider Services Optimization team, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to inform business decisions and drive growth. The team is focused on delivering exceptional service to members and providers, and your contributions will be crucial in achieving this goal.The role entails day-to-day management of projects, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis to identify areas for improvement. You will work closely with the Associate Director, MPSO - Optimization, and other team members to design and implement process improvements that support the company's strategic objectives. Your expertise in data analysis and process optimization will be essential in driving business growth and improving the overall customer experience.
What You Will Do
- Lead the design, optimization, and implementation of processes to support achieving organizational goals
- Collect and document business requirements, build and manage project plans, and document key project decisions
- Manage project governance, apply frameworks, and analyze data to develop and communicate risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive collaboration, edge case mitigation, and on-time completion of projects
- Evaluate overall departmental performance by creating, gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics
- Assist in the development of departmental metrics and implementation of mitigation strategies
- Mentor team members and promote colleagues' growth and professional development
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to create proactive implementation, communications, and program strategies
- Develop and maintain project plans, track progress, and provide updates to stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of work experience in the health insurance industry
- 2+ years of experience with end-to-end project management
- 2+ years of experience designing and improving workflows and standing up accompanying operating and technical procedures
- A bachelor's degree or 3+ years of commensurate experience
- Experience using data software such as Excel, SQL, Python, or other data analytics tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
- Knowledge of health insurance regulations and compliance requirements
