About the Role
The Associate Officer ARFF position is a vital component of Adani Airport Holdings Ltd's safety team, responsible for responding to aircraft and structural fire emergencies, medical emergencies, and hazardous material incidents. This role requires a unique blend of firefighting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. As part of the ARFF team, the Associate Officer will work closely with airport operations, medical services, and external emergency agencies to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and airport personnel.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role are diverse and challenging, from responding to emergency situations to performing daily inspections and maintenance of firefighting vehicles and equipment. The Associate Officer ARFF will also participate in routine emergency response simulations and training exercises to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and protocols.
As a key member of the ARFF team, the Associate Officer will report to the Duty Manager and work closely with other stakeholders, including airport operations, security, and emergency medical services. This role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to think critically and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
What You Will Do
- Respond promptly to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, and other emergency situations on airport property
- Perform firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services to ensure the safety of individuals and property
- Conduct search and rescue operations in smoke-filled and hazardous environments
- Provide first aid and basic life support (BLS) to injured or ill individuals until advanced medical personnel arrive
- Assist in the transportation of patients to medical facilities as needed
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of firefighting vehicles, extinguishers, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain inventory of firefighting supplies and equipment and ensure their readiness for use
- Participate in routine emergency response simulations, ICAO-mandated training, and fire drills
- Maintain detailed incident reports, training records, and shift logs for regulatory audits
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines related to firefighting and emergency response
- Identify potential hazards during patrols and inspections, ensuring immediate corrective action
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma in Fire Fighting Technology or equivalent qualification
- Experience in firefighting, emergency medical services, or a related field
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to think critically and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Knowledge of firefighting techniques, equipment, and protocols
- Familiarity with airport operations and emergency response procedures
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
