Associate Principal Engineer, IOT

What You Will Do

• Design and implement IoT architectures for smart city and urban tech projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and develop technical solutions
• Develop technical designs and proposals for clients, including architecture, framework, and high-level design
• Review and refactor code to ensure it meets the required standards and best practices
• Work with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, to develop and deploy IoT solutions
• Utilize time-series and NoSQL databases to store and analyze IoT data
• Develop and implement data governance and urban data platforms
• Collaborate with global teams to develop and implement IoT solutions
• Communicate technical designs and proposals to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues, and develop solutions to resolve them
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture, design, and implementation details

What We Are Looking For

• 11+ years of experience in IoT architecture design and implementation
• Strong understanding of IoT communication protocols, cloud computing, and edge technologies
• Experience working with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Familiarity with time-series and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with data governance and urban data platforms
• Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven system design
• Experience working with Smart City standards and industrial integration protocols
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving mindset with an ability to think at scale
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Excel and other data analysis tools
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Experience working with global teams and collaborating remotely
• Knowledge of urban planning and development principles
