About the Role

The Associate Product Manager role at Instacart is an 18-month program designed to help early-career professionals gain hands-on experience in product management. As an Associate Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to work across various teams, including Core Experience, Platform, Marketplace, Connected Stores, and Ads. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, identifying new growth opportunities, and developing creative solutions to complex problems.

As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for owning the product and leading the development of new features and products. Your work will have a direct impact on the customer experience and the company's bottom line.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Engineering, Marketing, Data Science, Legal, and Analytics
  • Identify new growth opportunities through quantitative research, case studies, and reviews of industry-standard methodologies
  • Develop creative solutions to complex problems and lead the work to bring them to life
  • Influence crucial team members throughout Instacart to align intent, resources, and prioritization
  • Specialize in Instacart's strategic position in the grocery industry and craft the way for the online grocery and e-commerce industries
  • Responsible for the end-to-end success of new products and features, from discovery to launch
  • Apply data-driven insights to inform product decisions and measure the success of new features and products
  • Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize product roadmaps and ensure alignment with company goals
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2 years of working experience in technology, consulting, or banking
  • Demonstrated ability to come up with product solutions for customer pain points
  • Leadership potential and natural ability to influence and empower diverse teams
  • Deep passion for technology and product design, either from a technical degree, personal projects, or experience in business, strategy, or software-related roles
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven insights and decisions
  • Experience with product management tools and methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SQL and data analysis
  • Familiarity with design thinking and human-centered design principles
  • Knowledge of the grocery industry and e-commerce landscape
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Certification in product management or a related field
