About the Role

The Associate Sales Manager position at Mutual Of Omaha is a critical role that supports sales growth for Medicare Supplement, Dental, and Hospital Indemnity products. As a key member of the sales team, you will partner closely with brokerage agencies to deliver impactful trainings and drive business results through strong sales and relationship management skills. This role requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and a strong ability to build and maintain relationships.

The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services, with a strong preference for those who have insurance sales experience, particularly within life, health, annuity, or senior health products. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with brokerage distribution partners, developing and executing sales and marketing action plans, and facilitating product trainings and educational presentations.

You will be working closely with internal teams across the organization to coordinate sales, service, and marketing support, ensuring commitments to distribution partners are successfully delivered. This role requires confidence in public speaking, the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences, and the ability to transform ideas and market insights into actionable sales strategies and business plans.

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokerage distribution partners
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing action plans to drive business growth
  • Facilitate product trainings, sales seminars, and educational presentations for agents and partners
  • Monitor sales performance, identify opportunities for growth, and implement strategies to improve results
  • Partner with internal teams to coordinate sales, service, and marketing support
  • Stay informed on industry trends, compliance updates, and marketplace changes
  • Travel regularly to support agency relationships and sales initiatives (up to 60%)
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's customer base
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales performance
