## About the Role As an Assyrian Interpreter at One World Global Services, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication between healthcare professionals and patients who speak Assyrian. Your day-to-day tasks will involve interpreting calls, both in-person and over the phone, and providing top-notch customer service to clients. ## What You Will Do - Answer calls professionally, using the Interpreters' Code of Conduct as a guide - Interpret complex medical information, including diagnoses, treatments, and medications - Provide cultural insights and facilitate communication between healthcare professionals and patients - Participate in internal professional training to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices - Communicate and report to your team leader, providing feedback and suggestions for improving our services - Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple calls simultaneously - Maintain confidentiality and adhere to our company's privacy policies - Collaborate with other interpreters to share knowledge, resources, and best practices - Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality services

## What We Are Looking For - Proficiency in Assyrian and English, with a strong understanding of both languages - 1+ year of interpreting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting - High emotional intelligence and cultural competence, with the ability to work with diverse communities - Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple calls simultaneously - Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare industry vocabulary - High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., linguistics, healthcare) preferred - Reliable internet connection, USB wired headset, and Windows 10 or MacOS

## Nice to Have - Experience working with electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software - Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote interpreting technologies - Certification in interpreting, such as the Certified Interpreter (CI) or the National Board Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI) - Knowledge of other languages, particularly those commonly spoken in the healthcare industry
