About the Role
The ATS Releasing Team Member position at Stellantis represents a critical component of the company's operational efficiency, particularly in managing the flow of vehicles from production to distribution. This role is central to ensuring that vehicles are properly staged and transported to their next destination, whether that be a storage facility, a rail yard, or directly to customers. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that works closely together to meet the demanding schedules of the automotive industry.As a key member of the Auto Transport Services team, the ATS Releasing Team Member will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are handled with care and attention to detail, reflecting the high standards of quality that Stellantis is known for. This includes not only the physical movement of vehicles but also the accurate documentation and tracking of each unit as it moves through the system.
The role will involve working across different shifts, including days, afternoons, and nights, as well as occasional mandatory overtime on Saturdays. This flexibility is crucial to meeting the varying demands of the production and distribution schedules. The team's ability to work cohesively, communicate effectively, and adapt to changing circumstances will be essential in maintaining the high level of service that Stellantis strives to deliver.
What You Will Do
- Stage vehicles in the WAP releasing yard according to specified procedures and safety guidelines.
- Drive vehicles to nearby storage and rail facilities in the Windsor area, ensuring safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, including any issues or anomalies encountered.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve daily and weekly targets.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge related to vehicle handling and logistics.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any incidents or near-misses to the supervisor, contributing to the continuous improvement of safety procedures.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in vehicle transportation and logistics.
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid full G driver's license.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Minimum of three years of driving experience.
- Ability to work on any shift and rotate from day shift to afternoon shift on a continuous bi-weekly basis or work steady midnights.
- Physical stamina to stand or walk for long periods, bend, stoop, and reach in and out of vehicles frequently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
- Police clearance.
- Ability to meet Canadian Immigration requirements.
