About the Role

As an Auditor/DRG validator-RN at Solventum, you will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes innovation, compassion, and clinical intelligence. What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with coding and clinical team members to ensure accurate medical record coding and documentation
  • Perform audit tasks to identify areas for improvement and optimize coding practices
  • Participate in relevant corporate programs and initiatives to stay updated on industry trends and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with professional, quality, and security standards in all aspects of your work
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external clients and stakeholders
  • Create content as necessary to support the coding and clinical teams
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in ICD 10, PCS guidelines, and MS-DRG and APR DRG methodologies
  • Apply your clinical knowledge to coding, ensuring that solutions are both effective and compassionate
  • Participate in quality initiatives to continuously improve processes and outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence

What We Are Looking For

  • Valid Registered Nurse license with a bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven years of nursing experience, with five years in the inpatient acute care setting
  • Strong knowledge of auditing practices, ICD 10, PCS guidelines, quality initiatives, and MS-DRG and APR DRG methodologies
  • Clinical documentation experience as an auditor/DRG validator, with CCDS, CCS, or CDIP certification
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for work-related purposes
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with telecommuting, working with EMRs, and other electronic tools
  • Current chart auditing skills and knowledge of Solventum HIS software portfolio (360 Encompass)

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in nursing or another healthcare clinical background from an accredited institution
  • Experience working with Solventum HIS software portfolio (360 Encompass)
  • Proficiency in additional Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in a related field, such as healthcare consulting or medical writing
