About the Role
The Auto Field Adjuster role at Allstate is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical and interpersonal skills. As a key member of the claims team, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving complex auto claims, working closely with policyholders, repair shops, and other stakeholders to ensure a fair and efficient claims process. Your day-to-day activities will involve conducting thorough investigations, analyzing data, and negotiating settlements.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the insurance industry, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will be working independently in the field, so you must be self-motivated and able to manage your time effectively. A company vehicle is provided, and you will be expected to travel to various locations to inspect vehicles and conduct interviews.

What You Will Do
- Conduct thorough investigations of auto claims, including inspecting vehicles and conducting interviews with policyholders and witnesses
- Analyze data and evidence to determine the extent of damages and negotiate settlements with repair shops and policyholders
- Communicate effectively with policyholders, repair shops, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth claims process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations, including changes to insurance policies and procedures
- Work closely with other members of the claims team to ensure a cohesive and efficient claims process
- Manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of claims activities, including reports and correspondence
- Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting and customer service, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of customer needs
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge of the insurance industry
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in auto claims adjusting or a related field
- Active adjuster license
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Experience with CCC estimating software
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business or insurance
Nice to Have
- Experience with other estimating software, such as Xactimate
- Knowledge of insurance industry trends and regulations
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
