Job Description
About the Role
The AutoCAD Drafter position at Accelint is a full-time remote opportunity within the United States, focusing on producing detailed electronic, electrical, and mechanical drawings in support of C4I and defense system programs. As part of the Forward Slope (FSI) division, this role will work closely with engineering teams to translate rough sketches, field conditions, and system concepts into accurate AutoCAD and 3D technical documentation. The successful candidate will be part of a team that integrates complex systems, transforms geospatial and operational data into clear insights, and supports naval, joint, and allied missions with technical rigor and global perspective.The role entails day-to-day collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and compliance of technical documentation with applicable DoD, MIL-STD, and customer-specific drafting and documentation requirements. Given the nature of the work, the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. national security clearance is mandatory. Travel may be required to customer and subcontractor sites as well as other office locations, contributing to the dynamic environment of this position.

What You Will Do
- Produce accurate electronic, electrical, and mechanical drawings from engineering sketches, redlines, field measurements, and existing system installations.
- Develop and maintain 2D drawings and 3D renderings using AutoCAD and other CADD tools in support of C4I and defense system projects.
- Update and revise drawings based on engineering changes, field conditions, and configuration updates.
- Prepare drawing packages suitable for procurement, fabrication, installation, and as-built documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, MIL-STD, and customer-specific drafting and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and deliverables.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to the improvement of the drafting process.
- Maintain organized records of drawings and revisions.
- Stay updated with the latest versions of AutoCAD and other relevant software.
What We Are Looking For
- Currently holds an active U.S. national security clearance or be able to receive and maintain one.
- Five years of professional experience in producing electronic, electrical, and mechanical drawings from rough engineering sketches or from existing equipment installations where drawings are inadequate or non-existent.
- Five years of experience in using Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) systems as the principal drafting tool.
- Three years of full-time professional work experience and expertise with AutoCAD version 2009 or newer.
- Two years of experience in developing three-dimensional (3D) renderings for C4I projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, physics, operations research, statistics, or engineering from an accredited college or university or an Associate’s Degree in Drafting Technology or certificate of completion from a technical institute.
